Jasper
Jasper is approximately 4 years old and is looking for a home under our Direct Rehoming Scheme.,

He is a very large, all black long-haired neutered male cat who lived outside and was quite afraid of people. However, after months of gently building his trust he decided to move from being an outdoor cat to an indoor cat and moved into the home of a family who had been feeding him. He quickly grew accustomed to the indoor life and became a loving, cuddly cat who enjoys being brushed.  He is a very ‘talky’ cat who loves sitting with you in the kitchen having a chat.

Although he now spends most of his time indoors, he doesn’t like to feel contained and likes to know he can get outside whenever he wants.

He has a very good appetite and enjoys both wet and dry food with the occasional treat. He enjoys playing with small toy mice.

His ideal home would be adult only or one where the children are at least 10 years old. He would make a great companion for someone who was at home most of the time. He needs to be homed as the only pet to a home with a garden he can access through a cat flap.

To help people find new homes for cats they are unable to keep, we try to help via our DHS. This consists of advertising the cat on our website with as much info that we are aware of with a view to putting the prospective adopter in touch with the current carer. Each prospective adopter still has a home visit even though the cat is not the care of Cats Protection.

All known info regarding any cat on our DHS will be given to the prospective adopter at the time of the home visit. We make no claim to have accurate knowledge of the cat, its health, vaccination status, or whether it is neutered, microchipped etc. All rehomings are subject to a successful home visit. If you live in rented/leasehold property we require written consent to have a cat(s) from the landlord, management company or freeholder (whichever applies) to be obtained before a home visit can be undertaken.
