Teddy - rehomed 24/2/19
This handsome jet black chap is Teddy, and he’s approximately 5 years old.

Teddy is initially very shy when he meets new people, but once he gets to know you a little, he absolutely adores fuss and attention. He will happily sit on his human’s lap to be as close as possible to you and get as much love as he can. He enjoys his food, both wet and dry varieties equally, and like many cats, he LOVES to have Dreamies as a special treat!

He’s a playful boy who loves dangly toys, running after balls and one of his favourite toys is a small teddy bear to throw about. He’s very much a people cat and loves to be around you once he has got past his shyness, and he is a loving and affectionate puss who will be a wonderful companion for someone – could that someone be you?

Teddy’s new home needs to be somewhere without small children as he is used to a calmer, more peaceful environment, and also somewhere where he has lots of window where he can sit to watch the world going by outside, as this is something he loves to do.

Teddy is an extra special puss who needs an extra special home, as he has Feline immunodeficiency virus (FIV). This is a feline-only disease that affects his immune system, making it much harder for him to fight off infections and get well of his own accord.
Because of his illness Teddy can’t go outdoors, as this could expose him to risk of infection, and as he could also pass FIV to other cats if he is close to them, he needs to be the only cat in the household. Please note the FIV virus CANNOT be passed to other species or to humans.

FIV does need some extra vigilance from Teddy’s owner to ensure you are alert to any (even minor) health issues he may display, and he will need to get treatment for them as soon as possible, but most FIV cats do not display any symptoms at all, and live long, healthy lives.

Please contact us today if you could offer Teddy a forever home.
