Catcuddles Sanctuary (The)
Rehoming Cats & Kittens: London (West), London (East) & Kent (West)
10 year old Cookie is with Catcuddles following a change of circumstances in her previous home. She is looking for her forever home to grow old in, with people to call her own who will love and cherish her as the only pet in the home.

Cookie has hyperthyroidism and is now receiving treatment for this. Cookie is due to have her next health check and comprehensive blood test within the next week. Hyperthyroidism is a common condition that mostly affects senior cats; with the right treatment cats with hyperthyroidism enjoy a good quality of life and a very good outlook. This can be discussed further with our adoptions team when making an enquiry.

Cookie is looking for a calm, experienced, loving home, This could be one with a quiet garden to call her own. If this is the case Cookie needs a safe location away from busy roads with no easy access to the road. It’s important she stays close to home for her health as if the best course of long term management of her condition is medication this will need to be given every 12 hours. Cookie will need to have a microchip catflap fitted at the back of the property within a month of adoption as any cat going out will need a way to have easy access back into the home. Cookie could also live in a spacious indoor home if this otherwise suits her needs.

Cookie is being fostered at our South London hub in Abbey Wood, SE2.

No matter what their age, all adopted cats leave Catcuddles with trial insurance and this is important to take out, even for a cat like Cookie who has a pre-existing health condition that will not be covered by this. For our senior cats the trial insurance is with Agria and if a policy is purchased within the trial period then you’ll be able to take out a policy for lifetime cover.

Our priority is to match felines with homes that suit their needs, character and long term requirements. Please be aware that when a particular cat receives an unusually high volume of enquiries, our dedicated adoptions volunteers may only be able to pursue the most promising. We appreciate your understanding.
