Esmie is a timid, tortoiseshell and white cat. Senior girl Esmie is 11 years young.

Esmie has come to Catcuddles after the death of her owner. After this sad loss, she would really love a new forever home to grow old in, with people who will love and cherish her as much as her previous owner did.

Esmie has been taking a while to adjust to her new surroundings at Catcuddles as she previously lived with just one person. She can be unsure of strangers and hiss or growl with uncertainty. Because of this, we are looking for an experienced adopter for Esmie; someone who is willing to get to know her at her own pace and gain her trust. With people she knows, Esmie is loving and in the right home will calm down and become less defensive.

Esmie cannot wait to find a loving home of her own, perhaps with a quiet garden for her to explore but she could also live in an indoor-only home.

Esmie has seen our vet for a full senior health check. Esmie’s had dental surgery but is in otherwise good health for her age.

Esmie is best suited to a settled adult only home, or one with teenagers who have some previous experience with cats, and treat them with kindness and respect their boundaries. Esmie could live with another cat after slow introductions and with dedicated space and resources available for each cat.

Esmie is being fostered within the Royal Borough of Greenwich.
