Mr Sappy

Mr Sappy has quite the tale to tell, so . . . make yourself comfortable:

Originally part of a large feral cat colony, we came across Mr Sappy when we helped with a TNR (trap, neuter, return) scheme for him and his stray and feral friends.  Whilst he was with us for his neuter, we found out that this lovely boy is FIV+ so of course he had to stay with us to look for a home.  FIV+ cats can live long and happy lives in a home environment, but they must live as house cats.
When he first arrived, he was quite shy and a bit grumpy, but he soon showed himself to be quite a fuss pot, enjoying attention and with an expert purr!
He does tend to over-groom (hence the rather lovely blue collar he's wearing in his profile picture), and because of this we want to find him a home where someone is around a lot of the time: this will allow his over-grooming to be monitored, and also may help to allieviate any anxiety which could be adding to this habit.  He's so fussy and friendly, he'll make a great companion cat for someone.
He should be the only cat in his new home, and any children should be 10 years or older.
Please speak to our staff for more information on rehoming house cats, and cats with FIV.
