Dotty & Elsa

Also - please watch our new VIDEO below...

Dotty and Elsa are being rehomed from their fosterer; this is what she has to say about the girls.
Dotty and Elsa are around 5/6 years old and lived the first years of their lives outside, firstly feral, then housed in a kennel and fed outside. For the last couple of years they have lived in a quiet room with easy access to the garden and the countryside beyond.

I am looking for a special person to offer them a permanent home. Someone who will accept them as they are, offer them a safe, dry and calm environment and continue to win their trust but without too much expectation they will be like cats who have been handled from birth. They would be best as the only cats in the home, and no dogs please! The girls can use a weak cat flap and always drink water and go to the toilet outside. Neither of the cats can be picked up and it is unlikely this will change.

Dotty is a long haired tabby who looks for affection and attention and loves to be stroked and brushed.

Elsa is a short haired mainly white tabby whose tail has had to be removed. She looks for Dotty and prefers it when she is around. She often goes out at night and then sleeps most of the day, preferably on a chair tucked under a table.  Elsa is very wary and will run if approached.  Occasionally she will approach for a stroke herself, having seen Dotty enjoy it so much.

They have lovely natures but because of their early years are easily startled by noise and too much activity and people. They like to supplement their cat food with a little rodent control. I am hoping someone who leads a quiet life and has a home with a garden in or on the edge of the countryside, will offer them a permanent and loving home. Please check out the girls' video below - they aren't always this noisy, only at mealtimes!

I would be happy to give more information and can be contacted through [email protected]

We would prefer you to contact us by email as the charity is run voluntarily alongside our jobs and domestic life and it is not always possible or convenient to answer the phone.

If you do adopt a cat please email us and let us know how he/she is doing. We do care! Photos are always welcome, they get added to our list of successes. Out interest does not end when they leave the premises.

Dotty & Elsa are currently featured on Cat Chat's 'Twenty for 2020' campaign, which aims to find homes for cats who have been in rescue care too long. Find out more about Dotty & Elsa here:  https://www.catchat.org/dotty-elsa
