Alf
ON HOLD

Update:

Alf arrived back in our care recently after his new home didn't work out. It became obvious that he needs more space to run around as he was getting frustrated and on occasions started lashing out at his new owner.
I feel that Alf would benefit from a home where he either has a big house to give him more space, a catio to go into or a cat secure garden to venture out into. It is not worth him just having the freedom to roam around as the reason he arrived here in the first place was because he kept disappearing from his home - and ending up miles away!  He needs to be kept safe.
He needs an experienced owner who will understand his behaviour and who will work with him. He's a lovely cat and enjoys a fuss but will let you know when he's had enough.
He doesn't like other cats or dogs and I won't rehome him around children in case he lashes out at them.
The last thing I want is for him to end up back in rescue time after time - this next home really needs to be perfect for him. The link below shows the story of when he arrived initially.

This young man is Alf. He arrived a few days ago when I least expected it tbh after a call from a lady saying there was a very skinny and scraggy looking cat desperate for food in her garden. He has starving hungry and has a lot of fur loss due to fleas.
Alf turned out to be microchipped so after getting his owners details we realised he was around 5 miles away from home. I called his owner to reunite them with him but she decided it would be in his best interest for me to rehome him as he keeps going missing for weeks and weeks on end.
So after having it confirmed in writing Alf is now in our care and will be looking for either an indoor home or a home with a cat proofed garden/catio so that we take away the risk of him getting lost again. He's such a lovely cat and will make someone a wonderful companion. I will be looking for a home without children as this may be the reason for him wandering off x
