WHISPER (RESERVED)
MITZI APPEAL: INDOOR HOME FOR YOUNG MUM WHISPER (1-2).

We were shocked and upset to learn that a routine FIV test indicated that Whisper was positive. This means that she now needs an indoor home (with a safely enclosed garden). She is the sweetest little girl - so trusting and gentle and we have all fallen in love with her. Its so unfair as she had a lovely home waiting for her but the family (who are very upset) had another cat.

It was an unexpected test result. She had been a domestic cat who had been abandoned (with her brother) when her owners moved. Thankfully a kind neighbour fed them and contacted us just before lockdown. (Her brother has now found a very loving home and as it happens is fiv negative).

Because Whisper was pregnant she went straight to our lovely rehoming centre at Cool For Cats, where she had 4 beautiful, very bonny kittens. She has been a great, very loving mum. It was only when she went to be spayed that we discovered her fiv status.

Whisper is really a very deserving little girl and we are desperately seeking a kind and loving (cat less) home for her. Because of her affectionate sociable nature she will make a very rewarding and loyal companion. Please spread the word. We think she will be able to adapt fairly easily to an indoor only life as she hasn’t shown any great interest in going outside since coming in to us.

Please don't be put off by her FiV status. These cats can live a long and happy life - do a bit of research eg consult https://www.catchat.org/. There is also lots of advice on how to secure a garden.
Many gardens can be adapted to create a secure outdoor space for a puss cat. See for example. https://protectapet.com/.../5-ways-to-cat-proof-your-garden/
