Julian came into our care recently, having been abandoned by his people. It's an unfortunate fact that so many youngsters are abandoned once they get past the 'cute kitten' stage and it's time to have them neutered or spayed, or even when they're already pregnant. He's a handsome wee lad, probably not even a year old yet, with a lovely coat that's best described as semi-long. Although he had been living outdoors, some nice people had given Julian food and offered him shelter, but their own cats decided the outdoor shelter was really meant for them and not poor Julian. Julian, in the meantime, turned on the feline charm and managed to get himself invited into the house but, possibly (and quite understandably) getting his own back over the pilfering of his own wee outdoor abode, decided the resident cats should take a hike. He hasn't come in contact with any other cats since coming into our care so we can't be sure just yet whether he would be best homed as an only cat, but what we can be sure of is that he's frightened of dogs. His fosterers have a cat-friendly dog but even just the sight of him walking past Julian's shelter seems to terrify him. But then who knows what he's experienced in his original home or on the streets. Despite all he's been through in his short life, Julian is a playful wee guy who is thoroughly enjoying the attention and all the comforts of his shelter home and play area. He's just recently been neutered and microchipped and had his first vaccinations. The second set of vaccinations are due in the middle of November, after which he'll be ready to go on to a Forever home with people who would never dream of abandoning him like his previous 'owners' did. A home away from busy roads where he could get out to explore once very well settled would be just ideal for this young man who should have many years of fun and adventure to look forward to.
