George
In April this year I brought several cats in from a bad situation, a situation where neglect and hunger were all that was on offer. Three of the young females were heavily pregnant and George's mum, Madelaine, was one of the three. George has two brothers, Jackson and Cameron, who are listed separately but it would be just wonderful if two of the kittens could be homed together, or even if one could be paired with one of the adults. So, what can I tell you about wee Georgie Porgy Pudding Pie? All three boys are full of nonsense, of course, but George has always shown himself to be the more independent one, the first to look for adventure. When the three were really just beginning to stagger around George was the one who would eye up anything that might look like it could be climbed even if his wee legs couldn't possibly manage to even get further than the starting block. He's been handled since birtth really for although his mother is a shy wee girl she never made any attempt to stop me touching her babies. Like the rest of the cats from that place, she is shy but quite without aggression, which is amazing considering the life they had been forced to lead. Although Mr Independent doesn't particularly like being picked up he will consent to a cuddle now and again, but he has to check his social calendar first to make sure he has enough time between crazy time and naps to fit you in. Born on May 16th, the three kittens are now almost five months old and have now had their Big Boy operations and been microchipped and fully vaccinated. So, young George is now ready to make his way in the big world, or at least in a safe wee bit of it. He's definitely a boy who would just love to be climbing trees so a home with a garden or other safe place for him to explore once he's very well settled would be just great. A family with children of school age would be great too and another, accepting, cat or cat-friendly dog shouldn't be a problem. These kittens have known only love from adult cats so life with a resentful cat wouldn't be a good idea even if George does show all the signs of a boy who will know how to take care of himself!
