Rosie and Indy
These sweet wee girls, sisters to Basil and Hector, were born in our care on August 21st. I suspect there's a bit of sexism going on here because the two boys have become real buddies and the two girls, possibly now of the opinion that boys are silly, have also formed a close bond. Being girls, they are a bit bolder (okay girls, I hear you. We'll go with "braver"), than their brothers with Rosie being ultra soppy with their foster mum Linda. Rosie's a real knee-hugger but Indy makes sure there's room for her too as they snuggle into the knees and get started on the next purring contest. Rosie has also declared herself to be (foster) mum's little helper and particularly enjoys rolling over in the litter tray to make a nice smooth surface in the new-laid litter. Okay, so it might be Rosie's actually exercising her well-honed sense of humour when she does that because if this girl was human she'd be heading for a career as a stand-up comedian. The girls are quite small, with Rosie being the smallest in the litter and Indy just a little bigger. The girls aren't old enough or heavy enough (min weight is 2kg) to have their spay ops yet but have been fully vaccinated, vet checked and microchipped. Our policy is to not home kittens under six months with children under school age but older children should be absolutely fine and although they've never met a dog, one who is very cat-friendly should be okay too if introductions are done sensitively.
