Murdo and Hector
Here are yet another two boys born in our care along with siblings already homed. These two boys love each other and so must be homed together. Their shy wee mum, Piper, was being well looked after by a couple who took pity on her and some others living 'feral' close to their home, providing them with food and good shelter. Piper was heavily pregnant and thankfully allowed herself to be trapped within just a few minutes (If only they were all that easy!), and came into our care, giving birth about 12 days later. Piper, now spayed, vaccinated amd chipped, is very much wanted back with the couple who had looked after her and some other strays and will be returning there in a week's time. Murdo is the longhaired tabby and white boy and Hector is shorthaired and black and white. Both kittens are very friendly with Hector being the real knee-hugger and Murdo the one who prefers to snuggle in close to, but not necessarily on, their foster mum. They are, of course, utterly mad and love crazy zoooomies games and the inevitable play fights. It must be acknowledged that the handsome Murdo does take such a pride in his toilette routine, with the litter having to be rearranged several times before he's perfectly happy that it meets his stringent requirements and then the covering-up process follows with such an eagerness that litter sometimes goes flying out of the tray. Murdo, of course, leaves the brushing up to the staff. He has more important things to attend to. The boys aren't old enough or heavy enough to be neutered yet (min weight being 2kg), but they are now fully vaccinated, vet checked and microchipped. They would love a home away from busy roads where they could get out to play once they're very well settled, and with kittens that should be over a period of months and not weeks. We don't home kittens under six months with children under school age but older children would be just fine, as would other accepting cats in the household or even a cat-friendly dog if introductions are handled with care and sensitivity.
