Consett Cat Rescue
Rehoming Cats & Kittens: Co. Durham
JOHN
John is a loving quiet boy who strangley enough likes to sniff your feet! But he loves being stroked BUT only when he asks for it otherwise he will just walk away. So don't overdo it with the strokes maybe? He also loves to climb and pounce with his toy mice and of course playing with his sibings.

No small children but much older well behaved ones may be fine.
No really noisy/busy households please because cats tend to not like crazy noisy homes.
Indoor / house cat only. A catio is fine or a cat secure garden but we will check this.
He has no known health issues and so can be adopted with a clean bill of health.

If interested then message us for a questionnaire and information sheet.
All cats are kept in private homes so no visits can be arranged without a successfully completed questionnaire.
We ask that people donate a minimum of £125 should they adopt a cat from us. Remember we are a small rescue and have paid already for chipping, neutering and vaccinating and we also give them regular flea and worm treatments. There is also of course their day to day costs of food and litter. All those things mean all cats cost us considerably more than minimum donation we ask for.
Please make sure you can not only afford the adoption but also have the means to provide and care for the cat for the rest of its life by means of savings, income or cat insurance. Nobody knows when unexpected expenses will arise when you own a pet.
Remember cats can live very long lives so its an ongoing commitment for maybe 15, 20 or more years. If you live in a rental property, we do need to see written permission that shows you are allowed pets.
