He is the most adorable friendly boy. Happy to lounge about but happy to play with his brothers and the other cats too.
Easily picked up and handled but can get a bit wriggly now he is heading towards adulthood.
Very affectionate but my goodness he can trip you up as you walk along and he is under your feet.
He is quite a dare devil and always investigating new things.
He came into rescue with his 2 brothers and sister and all 4 are super friendly due to all the handling they have had.
General Wording covering all our cats
All our cats are microchipped, neutered and vaccinated. If any have not had everything done, it will be in the pipeline to be done and paid for by us.
All cats are treated regularly for fleas and worms as appropriate.
All cats are of course litter trained.
All our cats are house cats but we will agree to them having access to a catio, a cat proofed secure garden or some of them may even be able to be harness trained but we do recommend you stick to your own garden if doing this due to other dangers on the streets (dogs/cars/sudden scares etc)
Most of the cats have not been tested with dogs. But if they have it will be written in their specific description.
Most of our cats can live with other cats but the odd one does need to be an only cat. Their individual descriptions will state this.
Most of our cats are unsuitable for households with small children, that’s any child not capable of closing a door behind them as they go in and out of the house. Our cats mainly come from feral backgrounds and if they get out then you may not get them back. Children already brought up to respect animals and have compassion for them will fare much better with our cats. We will look at everyone’s individual circumstances though but do not be offended if we say no because of your children.
A quieter home is preferred again due to the background of our cats. Having put in the effort to take these cats and get them used to people, many loud noises or busy homes can be too much for them. Yes in time they will be even tamer but that’s not going to be from day one so please consider this when enquiring.
A non-smoking home is preferred, healthier for the cats.
All our cats come with 4 weeks free Petplan cat insurance and therefore have been health checked by our vets. Any known health issues are fully declared to owners along with a copy of the vet records.
Every cat has its own history and you will be told as much as we know. Nothing is made up, its available, warts and all.
We ask that people donate a minimum £150 for all our adoptions. This goes towards some of the costs we have incurred in providing the basics for each cat. All cats inevitably cost us much more than this basic amount. With huge rising vet costs this figure can also change over time. Even with vets giving us a small discount, each cat will still cost well over £150 to vaccinate, neuter and chip.
In the current economic crisis, we ask people to make sure they can afford a cat and will be able to manage ongoing expenses and vet bills and have provision for any emergency care costs etc. Please think very carefully and ask yourself if you can really afford to take on the luxury of a pet at this time. They are a long term commitment. A common reason for people giving up their pets is lack of money.
We ask people look at the age of the cat and that the human should preferably outlive the cat. There is nothing more distressing than an animal having to be rehomed after it has been settled for years with its owners. A cat can live 15-20 years and maybe longer. A common reason for people giving up their cats is owners dying or going into a care home. If you are of retirement age and older then we will not adopt young cats to you. Its very common for us to be asked to take in cats because the owner has died or gone into a home and the family never seem to be able to take them on. I suspect the owner thought they would do as we get told that a lot by older folk.
If you are interested in meeting any of our cats then as they are in foster care in private homes, it is by appointment only. You will need to read an information sheet first and then complete a questionnaire before being allowed to visit. This saves us time asking many questions as they are all on the questionnaire.
