SHRIMP
SHRIMP

Born 31/10/17, she is spayed, chipped and vaccinated.

Shrimp is proving to be a bit of an enigma of a cat. We tried to handle her a lot while she was still young but because she was alrady a young feral cat when trapped she has remained very nervous of us.
She was adopted once but was sadly returned as she just never came out of her shell. That was a home with no other cats so I think she may need to live with another cat or if someone is to give her a chance then they need to spend a lot of time talking to her, stroking her and trying to handle her. She was certainly much better when younger and has unfortunately gotten more nervous since she returned to us.
She is going to need a home where the owners have patience, have time and maybe have determination to give this young cat a better life than the one she would have had as a feral cat living in a particularly bad housing estate where she was born.
Her mother was a very loving tame cat so she should have it in her genes somewhere to start and trus us humans more.
She needs to be either an indoor only cat or have access to a secure outdoor garden or catio. She could not be simply allowed to come and go outside in the big wode world until she was at a stage in her life where she trusted her humans and would come back home when called.
She does like her home comforts now and has lived here too long to be a totally outdoor barn cat for example, although she would actually make an excellent hunter I am sure. If the right farm home came along where they were willing to have her as a farm cat but she had access to a warm home (not be stuck outside 24/7) and they were able to keep her locked indoors until a decent time period had passed whereby she understood her location and surroundings, then I may (just may) consider a farm life for her.

Her adoption fee is £90 and we do ask you to complete a questionnaire if you wish to see her.
