Consett Cat Rescue
Rehoming Cats & Kittens: Co. Durham

Born in July 2017 to a tame mum who had given birth outdoors, she is the last of her siblings to be looking for her own forever home.
She was always the shy one in the litter and has never gotten over her shyness.
Yet she absolutely loves being stroked and if we had more time I am absolutely certain she would make a fabulous pet.
She does panic a bit if you try and pick her up but at feeding times I do manage to give her a few strokes and I am rewarded with head bops back as she winds herself around my legs.
A quiet home would suit her best with no small children and not a busy household.
She would do well as an indoor cat or could also have access to a secure outdoor garden or catio. Given time and once fully tame she could probably have access to outdoors once she knows to come home etc.
All of her siblings from her family and her mother are all now rehomed and are very loving cats so we know she has the ability to become like them. A lack of time and too many cats for us to look after has resulted in her being as reticent as she is.
If you think you would like to give her a chance then do give us a call and we will have a long chat and arrange for you to meet her. We realise like all our nervous cats, not everyone will be an ideal candidate but somewhere out there is the right home for Silkie.
Usual adoption fee applies (£90) and we will ask you to complete a questionnaire.
