Monty
Monty needs a very special home. He originally came to us as an underweight, unneutered male who'd been living on the streets. After nursing him to a better state of health, we found a stables were he could live with some other feral/semi-feral cats, but unfortunately he sustained an injury to one of his eyes there. He was brought back to the rescue for TLC, and ultimately the vet needed to remove the eye. Because of this, Monty cannot be released back outside again, and will need to spend the rest of his days in a safe environment, with someone who'll understand his odd little habits and give him space when he needs it.

We don't know how old Monty is, and we're not sure if he was born outside but learned to rely on people for food, or if he did have a home at some point but was abused and lost trust in humans. He is a gentle cat, he doesn't like being touched but will tolerate it, with just a warning hiss to let you know he's not comfortable. He is much more interested in befriending other cats, and it would be necessary for his new home to have another cat or two for him to socialise with. He's had dental work to remove a rotten tooth, and prefers to eat soft pate-type foods. He is good in his litter tray. He appreciates hiding spots such as cosy igloo beds, and would need a very quiet home with someone who won't expect too much from him, and has sufficient knowledge to monitor his health and wellbeing properly.
