Shadow came to us after his owner died, he was alone in the house with someone coming to feed him, but there were just days left until the property was emptied. It's a situation we're seeing a lot recently. He's uncertain of strangers, but can be stroked by people he knows. Being picked up worries him, and he'll run away from people who startle him. He needs a fairly experienced home with a person who'll feel confident handling him when necessary, and where he can relax peacefully the rest of the time. When he arrived he was heavily flea infested and underweight, so he's currently on extra meals to build him up. He also needs dental work for rotten teeth, which the rescue will arrange for him, but he first needs to reach a better weight before going under the general anaesthetic.
