Elsa was dumped in a box, together with her kitten, outside the PDSA. We have no idea what sort of home she came from, but it clearly wasn't a good one, so she is understandably wary of strangers. She will hiss and swipe when she's worried, but is happy to be stroked when she's feeling calm. Elsa needs a home with just one or two experienced cat people, to help rebuild her trust in humanity.
