FIV isn't the biggest of deals - the virus depletes the number of white blood cells, which eventually makes the cat less able to fight off infection. However, because it is such a slow acting virus many FIV positive cats can enjoy a normal lifespan with no apparent health problems resulting from the virus. It can only be transmitted from cat to cat, not to humans or other animals. For more information about FIV, please see: https://www.catchat.org/index.php/fiv
Please note, please call to make an appointment to visit City Cat Shelter. To meet Percy, or another cat that we have up for adoption, please call Michael or Jane at City Cat Shelter on 01273 606843.
We aim to update catchat weekly; for the most up-to-date information on cats available for adoption, please telephone us. Thanks!
