Luna (22112)
We are looking for a home for 2 year old Luna, she's been through a very tough time and deserves to find her forever home.
Luna came to us back at the beginning of June with an awful collar injury under her armpit.  An elderly couple had been caring for her after they discovered her with her arm through an old collar which was cutting into her skin and had caused a severe open wound. She had been rescued at 6 months but run away, sadly the former owners felt that sure that she would not stay with them and made the painful decision to sign her over to us so that we could get her healed and homed somewhere where she will finally settle.
Luna's wound is still healing and we aren't quite there yet and she is on some antibiotics and will need another check up or two but we would love to find a foster home with the view to eventual adoption once our vet has signed her off.
Luna's current fosterer has told us:
''Luna has to be one of the sweetest cats I have had the pleasure of fostering. Although she will come across as shy at first and may hide, she has one of the sweetest temperaments ever.
She’s very affectionate and loves having cuddles & being stroked. She may not be a total lap cat, but she has no problem with sitting next to you while you give her lots of chin scratches and belly rubs.
Luna is still young at heart and loves to play; she loves to chase her rattle ball (many a time, I have woken to her bringing me her toy ball) or chasing mouse toys. Although she is a bundle of energy, once she has a bit of a run around, one of her favourite things to do is fall asleep while having her belly rubbed.
Come evening, Luna loves to sleep at the end of the bed. She has her own spot and seems comfortable to do her own thing so long as she has access to leave the room.
A must for Luna is a safe outdoor garden away from main or busy roads. She spends a lot of her time looking out of windows and wants to be able to go outdoors again. It would be lovely for her new family to be able to give her this opportunity again as well as them having a new addition to their family who will give them lots of love and affection in return.''
Luna doesn't seem too keen to be around very young children but has been more at ease with the older children of 10 years plus.
