Mimi - reserved
Mimi is a stray who was rescued whilst heavily pregnant with her 4 kittens. She gave birth to them in her current foster home. Mimi is about 18 months old, and is a gentle but very timid lady. It takes time to gain her trust and the new owners would need to show a lot of patience and understanding towards her as she is not your average lap cat.

Whilst in her foster home, Mimi spent first few weeks hidden away behind the bed and only came out from her hiding when no one was around - for food and to use the litter. With time she became more confident and currently likes to sit in the living room at a safe distance, dozing, watching her unruly kittens at play or waiting for her next meal. She gets excited around meal times and runs eagerly to her food bowl. She is still not fully comfortable with being touched, and tries to dodge the hand, but she has never shown any signs of aggression and has never scratched or bitten her current carers .

Ideally she would find a quiet home where she would be the only pet, with owners who have some experience of looking after cats and who are willing to progress the relationship slowly and on her own terms. Mimi does not like loud noises or unexpected movements and gets easily frightened. Ideally she would eventually have access to the garden, but only once she was fully established in her new home.  By the time Mimi is rehoused she will be neutered, microchipped and vaccinated.
