Lancashire Paws Cat Rescue
Rehoming Cats & Kittens: Lancashire
We do not know for certain but it is possible that Jess has never been exactly treated cruelly, but has never had her own devoted owner, as she has been shipped around from pillar to post many times.  Though there were valid reasons in the cases we know of, the disruption has not been easy for this little girl.  She has been spayed and all the signs are that she is in very good health.  We think she is about six but will get a vet to assess her again before she is adopted - she will be microchipped, treated again for fleas and worms and a course of vaccinations will at least have been started before she goes to her new home.  A home visit and a donation towards our costs will be requested.  Jess is pretty laid back and gentle.  She is also quite mischievious which is lovely to see.  She has, occasionally, given her carer a gentle little nip but this was done in an affectionate way and was definitely not done to hurt.  It is a glimpse of her playful, cheeky nature coming out, just telling us that she is there.  Avoiding this is very easy, totally governed by where and how she is stroked etc.  She has lived with a few different cats and, in general, has got on well with them.  We now feel that  she can nip anything that is not a flat, firm surface including a bag or piece of material and if that happens to be on a leg, so be it!  Though some outside access would be lovely for Jess to experience, it is likely not to be a priority as she does appear to be a sort of chilled out, home based cat.  It would be fantastic for Jess to have her own home and an owner who is totally committed to giving her a fabulous life. She has not experienced being in an actual home and living as part of a family, with all the love that comes with this, for at least three years, if ever.  The first photo of her is a typical pose done so that she can easily be stroked of course.  Another very deserving girl, well not so little.
Jess has shown even more that she is a sociable girl with the other cats and she does not like conflict of any kind.  She still has a bit of a quirkiness, though it is good natured!  She gets on especially well to a beautiful black and white female cat we have, who is about three.  This little girl is timid but friendly and very gentle.  It is expected that she will take some time to properly settle in a new home - but the rewards will be fantastic.  We hope to add a photo of the two girls together soon, on the off chance the special sort of person needed to adopt them will express an interest in adopting both little sweethearts together.  However, jess could be adopted on her ow n if her other needs are met.
