Rehoming Cats & Kittens: South West Wales & Ceredigion
Hi my name is Amber and this is my story. I found myself homeless some time ago; it’s hard living on the streets with no home and nobody to feed and care for you, but I did my best. Some people were nice and gave me some food, others were hard and shooed me away or threw things at me. The nights were the worst, trying to keep warm in the bitter cold when your tummy is rumbling for food and seeing all those loved cats lying on window sills in their warm cosy houses. Well, it was on one of those cold winter nights when Jack came into my life, he sauntered up to me, gave a meow, swished his tail and sat down, he was like a feline God, green eyes, sleek black fur and oh, that perfect swish of the tail, I can tell you now, my paws went to jelly. We sat on the fence for a while, him cuddling up to keep me warm, we gazed at the stars and chatted a while. The night went by so quickly and in the morning Jack left to go home promising to return, that was the last I ever saw of him. My life carried on as before and I dreamed of meeting Jack again, but then I started to notice changes within me and realisation dawned, I was pregnant. How was I going to cope, no home and I could hardly feed myself let alone kittens, I was in despair. It was then that I had a stroke of luck; one of the kind people who had been feeding me noticed my growing waist line and contacted Cat Rescue West Wales who kindly found a place for me. After a check-up at the vets, I am now settled very comfortably in the maternity unit at my foster home. Life here is good, with plenty to eat and care and affection, they tell me that when my kittens are old enough to mange without me it will be easy to find nice homes for them, but will anyone want me! What I dream about the most is having a home of my own; I would love to be one of those cats who watch the world from a warm, cosy windowsill. We will keep you updated on Amber’s progress and let you know when her kittens are born together with some photos. Amber is a young female, very friendly and loves cuddles and a fuss. When her kittens are old enough she will be available for adoption after being spayed and vaccinated.
