Poppy - special adopter wanted
 
Meet Poppy, a sweet and gentle cat estimated to be between 9/10 years old. Poppy is looking for a forever home where she can be the only cat.  Poppy is not a lap cat, but she loves to be stroked and purrs constantly while enjoying a fuss.  She enjoys looking out the window and basking in the sunlight and would make a lovely companion.
 
Poppy had previously been experiencing some discomfort while using the litter tray and has had blood in her stool. The vets have done all possible tests which have been clear and so have diagnosed her with IBS/chronic inflammation. She is currently on steroid tablets which she takes well every other morning crushed in a lick e lix, in fact she demands it rather loudly!  The steroids have greatly improved things for Poppy and she doesn’t seem to be uncomfortable or in pain any longer.  Poppy will require steriods (they are not expensive) for the rest of her life, and her new family should be prepared to continue her treatment and provide ongoing check-ups and care.
 
Poppy would do best in a calm and quiet adult-only home.  While Poppy may need some special attention, she is a lovely cat who will bring joy and companionship to her new family. Please consider giving Poppy the loving forever home she deserves.
