This lovely soul came into our care after a member of the public in Congleton became concerned when she found Poppy camping out on her front porch. Neighbours canvassed, social media hammered and ‘paper collared,’ a trip to the vets failed to find a microchip but said it felt like she was heavily pregnant!
All options to find her owner exhausted we agreed to take Poppy into care.

Roll forward a couple of weeks and Poppy‘s no nearer to giving birth? A trip the vets and an ultrasound revealed a 6cm diameter hard growth in her abdomen. Investigative surgery followed and the mass was found to be her very inflamed uterus – sent to the laboratory, it was found to be beguine, possibly the result of being kicked?

Suffice to say, Poppy is now fully recovered from her surgery and looking for her new, forever home and, more amazingly, doesn’t hold an ounce of malice.
Poppy is not fussy about her food, can be quite vocal when she wants a fuss and uses her tray reliably.

As with all our cats, Poppy has been vaccinated, wormed, flead, microchipped, and neutered before homing. To help offset these costs we respectfully ask for a minimum donation of £100 towards the cost of veterinary treatment.
