My Story So Far:

Hi, I’m Orca and I was brought here to the sanctuary when I was found as a stray kitten.

I’m a young, friendly boy who absolutely adores attention from humans! I can be a little wary of people who I haven’t met before, and it can take me a bit of time to get used to you, but once I know you well I will love you forever! I have even turned into a bit of a parrot cat and love to climb onto people’s shoulders to get a better view of everything. I will also ask to be picked up by sitting by my carers’ feet and speaking to them, I then like to be carried around like a baby. My carer says I am just a little baby!

Due to being here at the sanctuary from such a young age (I was around 4 months when I arrived), I have missed out on very important feline interaction. I have met some of the bigger cats here but there is noone of a similar age to me at the moment for me to have a good play with. I am a bit much for the grown up cats and they tell me off if I play a bit rough. All of the built up energy and playfullness builds up inside of my body and sometimes when playing with the humans, I can get a little bit overstimulated and can nip at hands and legs while playing, however we are working on distracting me with toys when I get a bit too rough. I am a little crazy (as you can see in some of my photos) but everybody loves me for it!

My carers aren’t sure where I grew up until I came here or whether I had a home of my own, but because I am so friendly, they do think that I must have had humans who looked after me. I wish I could tell them my story, but at least I can show them my love and gratitude for keeping me safe since I arrived. I am now hoping to find a forever home with a new family who will care for me for the rest of my life. Could that be you?

Home I am Looking For:

I am quite an easy-going boy so am not too choosey on the type of home I am looking for. As long as you love me, give me lots of cuddles and play with me then I will be the happiest boy around! Please do remember though that I can be nervous of new people and it may take me some time to settle after going to a new home. I may not show my confident, loving self to you straight away but please don’t let this put you off taking me into your home. I will soon show you my crazy self in no time!

I could live with children, but it would be best if they are used to cats and will be sensible around me. They will need to understand that I may get a bit too excited when playing sometimes and be confident enough around these behaviours. My carer says I could live with children 8+ but she wouldn’t rule out slightly younger if you can explain that they are used to similar kitten behaviours.

I could happily live with a dog who has lived with cats before, providing that slow and steady introductions are made in case I am scared at first. I could have safe access to outdoors in my new home, however will need to be kept STRICTLY INDOORS for at least 8 weeks while I settle in and get used to my new family. I could however also live more than happily as an indoor only cat with sufficient space and enrichment etc. (Please state on your form whether you would like to adopt me as an indoor only cat or a cat who can go outside, and the provisions you have in place for this.)

There is one main thing I need when I go to a forever home and that is A KITTY FRIEND! I must be adopted into a home where there is already another young cat (preferably under 9 months) who I can become best friends with. As I am only young, I NEED a friend who I can run around and play with. My carers can see that this would really benefit me in many ways- mentally, physically and socially. I am just desperate to have a cat of a similar age to me who will be able to keep up and play fight with me.
