Hello, my name is Gloria. I came into the sanctuary because my owners were moving abroad and could not take me with them. In my previous home I was a very loving, friendly girl, just a bit nervous to start with but I am finding it very difficult to settle in here at the sanctuary so am showing a very different personality. I am very scared and don’t like the other cats here at all so sadly will not let any of my carers touch me yet even after being here for a while. I do show signs that I really do want a fuss but I’m just too wary to accept it at the moment, although I am slowly making progress. My carer thinks that it is the cattery environment that is causing me to behave like this as I really am not happy here, so hopefully in a home once settled I will feel comfortable enough to show the loving girl I really am.

I am looking for a very quiet home where I can be the only pet and with no children. I will need people who are willing to give me the space and time I need to learn that I don’t need to be so scared and can trust people, however my new owners will need to be aware that this could take a long while and in the meantime I could act similarly to a feral cat- I do display aggressive behaviours in reaction to my fear.
