Hope

About Me…Hello my name is Hope. My story is a little bit sad to start with because I really did not have the best time when I was first rescued. I was trapped by one of the sanctuary carers after I was roaming the grounds of Studley castle part of a colony of cats there. I went in for neuter and it was found that I had pyometra so I was incredibly lucky I was rescued when I was because this saved my life! I was neutered but then had further complications of infection so was treated for that but I am now fully recovered and healthy. I was very scared but my carers would all say how brave I have been!

I am quite a timid and nervous girl due to the fact that I have had little human interaction in my life, however I am very sweet and gentle and my carers really adore my personality. I do hide away in my bed a lot but I have gained trust in people and I am more than happy to have treats off my carers and I’m happy to have a fuss. I particularly enjoy a chin tickle!! I do hiss when approached but I mean nothing by this its just my way of showing I am a bit worried. My carers think I would be such a lovely gentle cat for someone.

Home I am looking for… A potential adopter will have to be prepared to give me the time and patience I need to settle and bond with new owners in my new home environment as it may take a bit of time but will be so worth it! I will need a smaller space in a new home to begin with such as a spare room set up for me with everything I need to feel safe and settle at my own pace.

I do need a quiet adult only home however homes with children over 14+ would be considered. I would love to live with another young cat already in the home as I am so used to the company of other cats (please note we require proof of up to date vaccinations for any cat/s in the home). I would not like to live with a dog.

I would be fine to be homed as a strictly indoor cat. Homes with SAFE outdoor access will also be considered however I MUST BE KEPT IN FOR A LONGER SETTLING IN PERIOD OF AT LEAST 4 MONTHS! This may need to be longer depending on how I am doing in the home. Must also be in a very safe area away from any busy/main roads or railway lines. Road/ home checks apply.

If you think you could offer me the home I need, please fill out an Adoption Enquiry Form. Please make sure you have read about all of my needs and our adoption policies before applying.
