Bella
Bella is 8 years old, we have had her since she was 3 months old when he got her in 2014. She is an F2 Snow Bengal. We got her from a breeder who let’s just say wasn’t the best and we didn’t realise the issues until we took her home. She has no paperwork and was deemed ‘unfit for breeding purposes’ by the breeder but we didn’t get this information until she had been with us for a few months. However, vets over the years have said she is in great health and there is nothing medically wrong with her. Bella had many behavioural challenges when we first got her and was quite aggressive for the first year of her life but with lots of love and patience she is now a wonderful, caring and snuggly girl. She doesn’t even hunt/kill while outside and is kind natured, she is very good friends with our budgie.

Bella enjoys lying in the sun, playing with her catnip mice and drinking from the tap! She enjoys playing in cardboard boxes and loves to be cosy, often lying across radiators and the tumble dryer. She is very clever and can open doors, be careful if you leave the fridge open she has a tendency to steal ham and cheese! Bella is very mellow these days and enjoys lots of naps, affection is on her terms only and she will come to you if she is in the mood for fusses. She prefers a one to one bond with a special person. Since I had my son a couple of years ago she has obviously come second and I feel that could be part of her issues. She is good with my son but will nip/scratch him if he pulls at her or annoys her. I would recommend homing her in a no child household or older children only as she really hasn’t been appreciative of my son during his baby/current toddler stages.

With a heavy heart the reason for rehoming Bella is because she continues to pee outside of her litter box. I’ve tried everything over the years. Retraining, multiple litter boxes, I’ve tried every cat litter going, trying to encourage her to go outside for the toilet, medications, reducing any stress factors, feliway, cranberry support supplements, confining her to one area. The vet said there is nothing medically wrong with her. She was spayed at 11 months old too. I even consulted a cat behaviourist,  they said it was more than likely due to the fact she was taken from her mother too soon and wasn’t socialised while in the breeders care, I tried all the tips and tricks for retraining to no avail. We learned to live with it but I’m at the end of my tether now as she is ruining carpets, toys, books and clothes when she gets the opportunity.

Bella really needs someone who understands her needs and can be patient with her. I am heartbroken to have to do this but I hope someone can offer her a loving home despite her problems. I unfortunately need to focus on keeping a clean environment for my son.

I have attached some photos, she really is a beautiful, striking gal.
