Rehoming Cats & Kittens:
Powys
Rosa and Leena
If ever two cats deserved a beautiful, forever home it is these two sisters. These two young sisters came into our care with a litter of kittens each. At first it was quite difficult to know whose kittens belonged to who as they seemed to shared the nursing and when Rosa had a poorly spell for a few days, Leena stepped in to feed all six kittens. Once Rosa was eating again and back to nursing, it was clear to see she had four of the kittens and the other two were Leena's. Although used to living on the land, Rosa and Leena were technically "owned" but the elderly owner suffered with dementia and when it was clear that she could no longer look after the girls, the care worker got intouch with us and we took them in. Rosa and Leena have always been very placid, especially for Calico girls and when we introduced two older kittens into their room, they spat a little bit but made them quite welcome.
Rosa is the more serious sister and seems to rule the room while Leena is sometimes more playful and mischievious than her two sons. They are typical sisters, one minute playing, the next having a spat, nothing serious. They both enjoy a "mad half an hour" every night. They play with balls, springs, teasers and lasor pens. They both have a healthy appetitie and always seem to let the kittens eat first, even though the kittens are more than old enough to take care of themselves now. Rosa and Leena enjoy strokes and enjoy sitting on your lap on their terms. They are easily handleable if you need to put them in carriers to the vet, etc but, like most cats, they are not the type of cats to want to be "carted around". They are fine with cat savvy older children but haven't really been around toddlers.
Healthwise, apart from Rosa's few, "down days" when she first came into us, they have shown good health. They did not react to their vaccinations and both healed well from their spays. They are both chipped and both tested negative for FIV/FeLV. They have both recieved good quality flea and worm treatment monthly.
Rosa and Leena have done an absolutely fantastic job of raising their kittens but now all their kittens have been rehomed and they are continuously overlooked for younger cats (even though they are so young themselves).
Rosa and Leena would be best suited to an indoor home with supervised access to outdoors as they still seem to sit and watch out of the window. This could be in the form of a catio, fenced garden or free roaming during the day and called back in during the night. We feel this is very important for the safety of our cats and shows that they are much loved members of their forever family. We do not rehome on or close to fast roads such as A roads.
Can you offer these beautiful young sisters their forever home before Christmas?
We are based in Mid Wales but will travel for the right home.
