Nala
Thank you for looking at one of our wonderful Rescue Remedies cats! We hope that this brief profile will give you a little bit more information about how you can offer one or more of our cats a home for life.
We are a small, independent rescue run by a small team of staff and lots and lots of volunteers who all are passionate about rescuing animals. We offer rescue spaces to cats from all walks of life – some come from council pounds having been found stray, others from families directly who can no longer keep them, some via social services, and nearly all have very sad stories. We have an army of Cat Cuddler volunteers who love our cats to pieces and spend hours chatting to them, stroking them and socialising them, so that they are ready to be cherished in their new homes.
Nala's story: Nala was sadly relinquished by her first family when their personal circumstances changed which meant they could no longer have a pet. Nala had been a much-cherished family pet, growing up in a home with children, before joining us at our Rescue in March 2025.
About Nala now: Nala has only recently arrived in rescue, so is still finding her paws after everything suddenly changing in her world. Her previous family describe her as a friendly and chilled petite cat who was a lovely pet to have. Could you be the patient person to bring her out of her shell and help her love again after she lost everything? Our cuddler volunteers are seeing her find her sparkle as each day passes, and she is welcoming of strokes and tickles, and treats!
Microchipped – yes
Spayed/neutered – yes
Vaccinated – yes
Full rescue back-up for life - yes
What kind of home Nala needs: Nala has always been an indoor cat, so we think an indoor home would suit her for her new family (she did have access to a covered balcony in her first home, but showed no interest in trying to get further!). She has lived with children before, but not other cats or dogs, so this is untested. She will need time and patience to settle and will reward you endlessly when she feels ready!
We home our cats NATIONWIDE and have been as far as Guernsey for the right family for one of our cats! The very first step is to head to our website and complete the Homing Enquiry form. The Homing Team will then be in touch with you if you are a match for one of our cats. The link to our Homing Form is here: Rescue Remedies Cat Adoption Form
