Willow
Thank you for looking at one of our wonderful Rescue Remedies cats!  We hope that this brief profile will give you a little bit more information about how you can offer one or more of our cats a home for life.

We are a small, independent rescue run by a small team of staff and lots and lots of volunteers who all are passionate about rescuing animals.  We offer rescue spaces to cats from all walks of life – some come from council pounds having been found stray, others from families directly who can no longer keep them, some via social services, and nearly all have very sad stories.  We have an army of Cat Cuddler volunteers who love our cats to pieces and spend hours chatting to them, stroking them and socialising them, so that they are ready to be cherished in their new homes.

Willow's story:  â€‹Willow, along with her littermates Joey and Jenny, were found abandoned in a hoarder's house (the house was also abandoned).  The home conditions were absolutely awful (you can see a photo of this on their forum thread on our website) and the cats had been completely neglected.  They were spayed/neutered and vaccinated and then came to our care.
Jenny, Willow and Joey joined our rescue on 23rd April 2025.

About Willow now: Willow has only been with us a few weeks, and despite her awful start to life, she is showing herself to be an absolute cuddlemonster!  She delights in human interaction and loves nothing more than a long snuggle with a good head tickle.  We have never seen any hisses or swipes from this gorgeous girl.  She is gentle and loving and will absolutely blossom in a nurturing permanent home.

Microchipped – yes
Spayed/neutered – yes
Vaccinated – underway
Full rescue back-up for life - yes

What kind of home Willow needs: A loving, cosy home, where she will be truly cherished!  She could be homed with one of her littermates (Jenny and Joey), or as a solo cat, but would probably like a cat friend so a family with a pre-existing cat might be better for her.  She probably would like to venture outside when ready, but we do home to indoor homes too so please do register an interest if that fits you.  Willow is likely to appreciate a quieter home, so one without noisy young children or dogs ideally.

We home our cats NATIONWIDE and have been as far as Guernsey for the right family for one of our cats!  The very first step is to head to our website and complete the Homing Enquiry form.  The Homing Team will then be in touch with you if you are a match for one of our cats.  The link to our Homing Form is here:  Rescue Remedies Cat Adoption Form

You can follow us on Facebook and Instagram @rescueremediescats to see more photos and videos of our cats, and updates as to the comings and goings at our cattery!

Also do check out our Forum pages on our website where our Cat Cuddler volunteers update each cat’s dedicated thread after visiting them with photos and updates.  Head to our website here:  Home · Rescue Remedies Cat Rescue
