Peaches
A beautiful Brindle Mosaic Tortie kitten-cat, around 8 months old, neutered and chipped. Rescued from a derelict shed at around 7 weeks old and in need of intensive foster care and socialisation.  She must go to a calm, uncomplicated home with no other pets nor small children now or in her lifetime.

She will take many weeks to fully settle.  With patience and time she will build a strong bond particularly with a female as she has with her two lady Fosterer’s.  A more mature home as she needs a home where there won’t be any children now or ever in her lifetime because she would be too worried by noise and/or fast or unpredictable moves etc. she will always have some nervousness as she came to us as an un-socialised kitten at around 7 weeks.

A peaceful, uncomplicated home with no other pets, nor any small children, to allow her to build the bond she needs to with her forever human (or two).

When you come to visit Peaches on an adoption viewing, she will hide. You won’t see her true personality at first. It took her many weeks to accept a change of fosterer.  Then one day she sat on her knee. Once she is bonded (and treats are at hand), Peaches will lick your hands as a gesture of friendship.

Now when her foster lady sits down, Peaches will be straight over to her knee and nudges her hand for strokes.  If she puts her legs up on a footstool Peaches could lay on her knee for quite a while, eventually falling asleep or watching the screen on the phone as it’s scrolled. Yes, she likes to watch videos for cats!

Her favourite toys are springs and pretend mice. Beware, she loses them but confidently opens the cupboard door to help herself to more from the toy box. She loves to use a scratching post, one where she can stretch her legs up high.

Peaches enjoys her food… one way to her heart. Straight over for a tasty treat when she hears the rustle of a packet or the treat tin.

She’ll need to be an indoor only cat because she’d be scared of loud noises and strangers, running into danger just to avoid them.

If you think you can offer Peaches the right home, email [email protected] with your name, address and phone number and a volunteer will call you back for an initial chat to start the matching process.  Bear with us… we’re volunteers here doing what we can to help the rescue kitties all in our spare time.
