I need to find new homes for my two cats. They are tabby sisters about 5 years old. I've had them from about 18 months old, they are indoor cats who would love to go out. Not micro chipped but they are neutered. We are finally downsizing to a very small flat and I'm now hoping to find them a home where they will have space to use up their energy. They both like to sit on laps, Elsa has a very loud purr, Nala's purr is very quiet. Neither is happy at being picked up. Elsa likes to play catch with pompoms and will bring one to you to throw.

Re: 2 cats need a new home
Hello Cris,
I'm sorry to hear that you're having to consider rehoming Nala and Elsa. If you haven't already seen it, Cat Chat's rehoming advice page might help: https://www.catchat.org/index.php/rehome-pet-cat
It sounds as though you might be concerned about Nala and Elsa not having enough space to use up their energy in your new flat. If so, these tips for keeping indoor cats happy might help: http://www.knowyourcat.info/getcat/indoorcats.htm
If you feel that rehoming is the only option for Nala and Elsa, and you aren't able to find any offers of help on this forum, then your local cat rescue and rehoming centres should be able to advise you and hopefully help you find a home for your cats. You can find a list of cat rescue and rehoming centres here: https://www.catchat.org/index.php/cat-r ... uk-ireland
Please be prepared to contact more than one rescue in your area as many are full at the moment. Rescues often prioritise the more urgent cases, so be sure to let them know your situation and timescale, especially if you're due to move to your new home soon.
You could also email Cat Chat's Help Desk for further advice: cat.advice (at) catchat.org
I hope that helps.
