All potential adopters are homechecked or must supply a letter of reference from their vet. All cats are treated for worms and fleas, litter-trained, socialised also neutered and microchipped if old enough.

Low-cost Microchipping: The rescue promotes responsible ownership and also offers discounted microchipping.

Cats Protection - Frome & District

Covering areas around Frome in Somerset, and also Warminster and Westbury in Wiltshire and parts of Avon. On average, they rescue and rehome over 100 homeless or unwanted cats every year. All cats are neutered and treated for fleas and worms prior to rehoming.
Volunteers needed: Frome & District branch is currently looking for cat-lovers with some time on their hands, even if it's only a few hours a week to help with cat welfare and homing. Please drop them an email if you are interested.

Foster Carers needed: The branch would love to hear from anyone who may be willing to become a cat fosterer. There is a waiting list of cats needing to come in, so extra foster homes are always welcome!

Siamese: Siamese Cat Club Welfare Trust

The SCCWT operates a rescue and re-homing service for unwanted adult siamese cats. Permanent, loving homes are often needed for adult cats. Please note, they do not have kittens for rehoming. The trust runs a sponsorship scheme for un-homeable cats. See their web site for more details.

Cinnamon Trust - Homes Needed UK Wide
Cat Fosterers and permanent homes always needed. The Cinnamon Trust (the National Charity for the elderly, the terminally ill and their pets, Reg. charity. 293399) are looking for more volunteer homes throughout the UK. Pet free homes are needed for short-term fostering of cats whose owners are in hospital or respite care. Permanent homes needed for cats whose owners have died or who are no longer able to care for them. The Cinnamon Trust is not a rescue shelter and cannot take unwanted cats in.
