Coco and Portia
These little girls and their three sisters came into our care when they were only a few days old. Their poor mother, Rachel, and their big sister Purdie (these two not yet listed) were living rough but it's almost a certainty that Rachel, at least, once lived in domesticity. We suspect big sister Purdie to be the only surviving kitten from her previous litter and without a doubt Coco, Portia and their siblings would have suffered a similar fate if the little family hadn't finally found somewhere to shelter in a garden belonging to decent people who fed them and then called for help. One of the five little sisters, Lyra, is being adopted by their fosterer and the other two, Rhea and Angel, listed on their own page, are also looking for a home together. Coco, who is all black, and Portia, who is black and white, are just as totally bonkers as you would expect little ones to be. They're full of nonsense and energy, tearing around their foster pens, which have outdoor play areas, and having races to see who can get the best view from the top of their climbing frames - and driving their poor mum Rachel to distraction of course! I mean, five lively babies all competing for mum's attention......can you imagine??

We've waited until now to list the kittens for homing as they all had bouts of diarrhoea, thanks to an intestinal worm infection caused by their mother, who's only young herself, having to catch or find and eat whatever she could manage for goodness knows how long. The kittens have thrived despite it all and have always been full of energy, but then Rachel was immediately started on a worming course when she came into our care and that will have helped the kittens too as they suckled her milk. It's taken a while to be sure they're clear of the intestinal worms but all is good and they're ready to find their Forever homes. In fact, although they are only 18 weeks old the kittens are all heavy enough to have their spaying ops and that will be dealt with before they leave our care. They've all been fully vaccinated and will also be microchipped when having their ops. These two girls are pretty confident so should be fine in a home with older children and, once very well settled, I'm sure they would just love a safe outdoor area away from busy roads to explore.
