I live in Morden and 2 weeks ago my neighbour suddenly passed away and left behind a cat. The lady was French so has no family in this country, no one has come near or by the house since the day the lady was found deceased and that day only the police.
The cat has been going in and out of the cat flap of the house, I have tried putting food out but as I have a dog the cat will not come near my garden.
its upsetting seeing the cat wander, she must be thinking what has happened to her owner of approx. 7 years. If anyone could help or give me any advice I would be very grateful.
Deceased owner ...lonely cat.

what a sad situation - there are quite a few rescues covering Surrey http://www.catchat.org/adoption/surrey.html
the Riverside Animal Centre http://www.londonwildcaretrust.co.uk/ on that list specifically mentions cats left behind when an owner dies

Thanks for your reply.and your info.
I've been in touch with a few Rescue centres and I am waiting for them to get back to me. Riverside no longer has a cat centre.

Poor little cat. It must be wondering what on earth has happened. Thank you so much for caring enough to do something about it. Good luck.
