Our nearly 8 month old kitten Kevin is desperate to go out. His big sister Molly goes out and he's stRted trying to get out after her, and spends a lot of time sitting by the cat flap or trying to get out of windows!!
We live on a fairly busy road, and trust Molly not to go near as she's scared of everything! I'm just terrified Kevin will go out the front. We've taken him outside in our arms regularly in the past few weeks and he loves it. I've bought him a harness which I will try to get on him later!!
Do we just let him out one weekend morning and hope he comes home?! We can't cat proof the garden as we live in a mid terrace.
How do we let him out?

Re: How do we let him out?
I would only let him out under supervision at first. The first time I would open the door just before feeding time, then stay with him for five minutes or so before calling him back in for his tea. Then for a bit longer each time. That way you make sure he knows where home is and how to get back.
I'm not experienced with kittens and younger cats, but I'm sure others will have some thoughts. Good luck!

and enlist a couple of friends or neighbours to bar the direction you don't want him to go in, with the job of frightening the life out of him if he approaches them
