Is Purina HA is supposed to look like Rice Krispies?

Post by MarkB »

I have never seen such a pale coloured kibble - maybe due to lack of colouring?

I have offered some to Kylie. So far, no joy. I will hold and and have the D/D to try next.

yes, that is sort of what it looks like and it's about the same weight. As for colouring, from memory having seen friends feed it to their cats it's a tad browner / darker than rice crispies - not as pale?

Yes, not quite as pale, but nothing like any other cat food I have seen. Anyway, she ate a tiny bit before going outside. :)

what gets me about that food is the weight of it - or rather the lack of weight.

And also, given that it's usually used for cats who have IBD (very often caused by a cereal intolerance) I wonder at the ingredients listed; not even sure it has meat in it

I haven't even looked at those - fingers crossed though. I will try her on the D/D as she doesn't seem too keen on it anyway.

I tried wonky on HA- all bar one of my cats refused it and the one who did eat it got bright yellow poo!
Really seems to be lacking something IMO! Good luck!

Blimey - Ria was right. No meat whatsoever in it!

Rice starch, hydrolysed soya protein, soybean oil, hydrolysed digest, animal fat, fish oil, minerals

I gave Kylie some outside on the chair earlier. I forgot it was there and sat on it. It just crumbled to dust.
