Hold That Tiger!

Post by Lilith »

Regulars on here will have read about my horrible Molly.

She came to me when I couldn't even afford another cat - but her owners were at their wits' ends with her (and in another few months I was at my wits' ends too!)

I had to get a grant to get her spayed (though fortunately my finances picked up so I paid that back) and true to form the night before she was due to go to the vet's, she came into call...

She is horrible, aggressive, she makes a mess in the bath, she is a total pest...she also shadows me, smiles at me, OWNS me, sleeps snuggled up on the bed with me...this has been going on for almost 4 years now.

Recently I discovered the 1920s song - 'Hold that tiger, hold that tiger, hold that tiger down!' Moll likes to jump up beside me and have her back stroked and 'scruffled up'. She trills softly until I do this, so lately I've been singing 'hold that tiger!' (Errm yes I know  ) and gently slapping her backside...just now we were holding the tiger down but the tiger leapt round and walloped me - but with claws sheathed!

This is a great advance for Molly-kind!

I feel terrible - your Molly sounds much 'worse' than my Grumpy Nellie .... but you've not resorted to dubbing her 'Grumpy Molly'! I fear I might owe Nellie an apology ...... :D

Give Molly a 'scruffle' from me ... when it's safe. :?

I feel blessed now with my two cats. The new one Lily is a nightmare as when she wakes up in the middle of the night she thinks its time for everyone else to be up. Her meows are long and loud and I swear sometimes it sounds like she is saying No.

Sounds like our Gracie Grotbag! She's a real daddy's girl, but she grumbles and growls at me. There was a time when neither of us could pick her up or even stroke her.

Thanks guys...lol she gets called FAR WORSE things than 'grumpy'!

No I can't pick this one up either - well maybe for a nanosecond, preferably with thick gloves on...

She too chunters in the middle of the night and when she starts and the Mad Mousey Moment begins (that's My Mouse, 13 and rather vague bless her, usually announcing the arrival of the Mousey Log; she proclaims to the WORLD when she's BEEN, usually around 3am) life is fun...

Scruffle delivered, and Molly says thank you to her Aunty Crewella
