Bookends!
Took this photo a couple of days ago. Bob, Purdy and Willow sharing a sofa - proof it does happen!

Re: Bookends!
such gorgeous cats, I always think about getting myself a black shorthair cat with a nice shiny coat like that, they're simply stunning.

Re: Bookends!
Thanks guys. Both Willow and Bob are a glossy black. Willow's coat is very dense, Bob's more fine and a little longer. Purdy and Will's often sit together, but to get all three on one chair....

Great that the tabby was in the middle! Beautifully symmetrical
This is my best effort at my non-matching pair being bookends.

Re: Bookends!
Ah, nice one. A friend once had an elderly cat who used to sleep UNDER a stove like that!
My friend was worried she would burn herself, but she insisted and would always find a way.

Re: Bookends!
The bottom part of the stove gets about as hot as a radiator, but not take-the-skin-off hot. My previous cat used to sit quite close, and I didn't have the fireguard then. But she never used to jump up on to anything higher than a sofa seat, so I didn't need to worry that she'd leap on to the top of it. These two (like most cats) will jump up on to anything to have a look around, and if they tried that with the stove while it's hot, they'd burn their pads badly. Hence the guard, to keep them at a safe distance.bobbys girl wrote:A friend once had an elderly cat who used to sleep UNDER a stove like that!![]()

Re: Bookends!
My contribution - at least Badger and Tilly match in color, even though there wasn't any room left between them! They were 9 months old at the time and already nearly a yard long. Six months later they could each fill the landing without help from the other.

You seriously own not one, but two maine coons?alanc wrote:My contribution - at least Badger and Tilly match in color, even though there wasn't any room left between them! AMAZING
At least they look like maine coons to me

I was going to buy a maine coon it's one of my favorite cat breeds but they go for 700 euros here from some Croatian breeder, 700 euros is definitely not something I could easily afford.
How much are maine coons on average in the US and UK? I assume in the US they're cheapest
Another cat breed I REALLY want is a Norwegian Forest Cat but I don't know if the breed even exists in Macedonia.

Re: Bookends!
Crewella - great photo of Daz and Paddington, where they "helping" with the filing?
Joe- sadly I now only own one Maine Coon (Tilly) as Badger died of cancer last year - I still miss him. They cost £700 for the pair of them as 13 week old kittens 6 years ago and I would not part with Tilly for any money.

Re: Bookends!
That was actually taken about a week before Paddy fell ill. I'll try to take a pic of him now, he's looking great, just developed a very appealing head tilt!
Daz may well look pleased with himself, he got my attention by sitting on the desk and, very deliberately, pawing through all my piles of paper! He was very definitely doing the 'antifiling'!
