You know, Casper has changed my mind completely! Before I ever had a cat of my own, we had a neighbour who had a white cat like Casper. Well Suki LOOKED like Casper, but she was THE most disagreeable baggage you could imagine! :? Casper is such a sweetie I have changed my mind about white Persians, they are NOT all manic people-haters! He is a lovely boy. I am a BIG Casper fan.

Casper seems a tad territorial around the bathroom litter box today, I wonder if this is a sign that the vet will accept as him being overdue for neutering but we all know she won't budge until he is at least 7 moths :)
Basically if Milla or Kala enter that litter box he not only watches them but peacefully and slowly tries to enter with them too, once they leave he seems to be pee in there, not spray just regular peeing but still. He also seems to lie down in the litter box to leave his scent in there. He is good as far as elimination goes, no worries there, he is just being a boy cat.

I really need to get this guy fixed before he makes the other two start peeing all over the house, they have another litter box but still.

Other than that he is very very friendly with his mom and sister
they all clean and lick each other, they eat together, it really is a joy to watch them interact

Genetics is a funny thing
ALL 3 know how to play fetch, you throw a small enough object for them to be able to carry it in their mouth and they bring it back like puppies.
Nobody taught Casper or Kala to do this yet their do it on their own and they do it very well too, I should capture it on video someday.

Milla is a true mom, she's been doing this since they were babies, when I play with the kittens she just sits on the side and carefully watches but rarely joins in unless engaged and even then she lets Kala and Casper take the spotlight.
I have noticed however if either of them takes too long to catch something she pounces and catches it as if the show them how it's done, but that's probably just in my head :)

Glad its all going well, Joe.
I'm sure the genetics has a lot of influence on their behavior. Badger and Tilly were (and Tilly still is) ferocious hunters and they cannot have learned that from their parents, grandparents or great grandparents, none of whom have seen a mouse in their lives! Must derive from their American ancestors in Maine who made their living that way.

Uuugh I think Kala and Casper are a little too old to be cleaned by their mom after almost every meal lol
Even if Milla doesn't eat, if she sees them eat after they're done she cleans their faces and all. I was just about to take a picture of her cleaning Casper after he and Kala ate but they were done by the time I opened the drawer and took out the camera :)

Though when all 3 eat they all groom each other, of that I do have a picture, it's beautiful

And she REALLY needs to stop giving her food up to them, like seriously there's plenty for everyone, she shouldn't stop eating the moment one of them walks up to her platter or bowl and wants to eat, neither Kala nor Casper will starve, they both eat for 3 Millas each.

Ever since the kittens were babies Kala would be the one cleaning them and grooming them for some reason, she still got it apparently

Kala and Casper are inseparable and they also don't leave my side either

In all honesty they make it kind of hard to work or prepare my finals :D

Finally snapped some pics of Milla giving her boy a good cleaning after a meal

Seriously, Casper, it's time to grow up, buddy
your mom can't clean you up after every meal at this age

I KNOW this can't happen in cats, but Milla pampers Casper as if she is making up for lost time, it's unbelivable.
Ever since she recognized him by his purr that day she went back to being his doting mom and then some. EVERY time Casper eats wet food, he eats rather aggressively so he does leave some on his fur Milla swoops in from somewhere if she is awake and cleans him up nice and good.

Lovely pics, as always. He may never grow out of it, you know. This is a picture of our Rottie, aged about 15, snuggling to into his mum Giddy!

Sadly both now passed on, but our original little family of cats were very close for their whole lives. :)

They're so sweet, sad to know they aren't with us anymore :(
How do you guys inline pictures? I keep getting size errors and such, what's the resolution and file sizes needed to make pictures show up?
Even if I link my imgur images with the image linking code thing it still gives me an error here, but I add pictures to my posts on all other forums just fine

I reduce them to 400 x 300 pixels in size and then they post OK. I have to do the same when adding cats to our rescue's Cat Chat rehoming page.

Joe - They look absolutely gorgeous. No idea how you can stop Milla mothering Caspar or letting her offspring eat her food!
Last time I posted a picture of Tilly on here, I shrank it to 500 x 375 pixels and it loaded inline quite happily.
Crewella - I had to look twice at your picture of Rottie and Giddy. First look I thought it was a picture of my old cats Misty and Honey (sadly also long deceased).

Thanks, I was able to successfully attach an image in the OP :)
I'll leave the rest as links so it doesn't look like I'm spamming pics

You guys understand cats better, so I figured I'd share this, to me fascinating and endearing behavior :)
These past two days it's been pretty hot, especially in my house with all the computers and systems running and I haven't cleaned the AC yet to have it up and running, plus it's too early for that.
This is Kala and Casper's first exposure to really warm weather so naturally they just lay down during the day all stretched out, but this is where their mom comes in...she walks up to them and licks them as if to cool them off, she gives them a good licking getting them all wet lol

at first yesterday I didn't think much of this, figured she just automatically started cleaning Casper because he was near her but as the day went on and today came along too I noticed she purposely walks up to each kitten as they're laying down and carefully cleans them all over, especially around their neck, ears, their tummies.

I can't believe how dedicated a mom this cat is even after 6 months.
I'm so happy to see this
