Mollie

About me…

Hi, my name is Mollie. I came to the sanctuary with 4 other cats (including my 2 sons) when our owner sadly passed away. Our owner’s family originally contacted the sanctuary for help when he sadly had to go into hospital. At first, the plan was for the others to find other homes and for him to keep me (I was his favourite, shhh don’t tell the others), but then he devastatingly passed away so I also found myself needing a new home. The family of our human dad looked after us until the kind ladies from the sanctuary came to collect us. I came here first with my grown up sons (Falcon and Hawke-also looking for a home) and then our two younger friends Tawny and Owl arrived here a few weeks later (they will be looking for a home soon).

As you can see from my pictures, I am a gorgeous girl and don’t I know it! I will happily sit and pose for photos all day long. I can be a little wary of new people so if you come to meet me, I may be a little sceptical. I will however come around to you in time and then will show you just how loving I am and how much I enjoy fuss and tickles. I do have a slightly temperamental side, but am not nasty! I will just let you know if I have had enough attention and would prefer you to leave me alone for a bit, although I’ll soon be back for more! I can also be a bit of a diva and don’t like being told what to do! I’m a princess basically and everyone has to treat me like one! I do repay the human peasants with my love should they deserve it though, which is most of the time I’ll admit.

Home I am looking for…

I am looking for a quiet home as that is what I’ve been used to for my whole life, it was just us cats and our human dad. Due to this, I would prefer an adult only home or a home with older teenage children who will respect and allow that I will need time to settle and adjust, so no young children please. I can be a little jumpy with sudden movements or loud noises so a nice, calm home where I can settle in my own time and not be pushed or rushed would be perfect.

I would prefer not to live with any other cats or dogs as I do like to have all the attention to myself! Although I am used to living with 4 other cats, I did enjoy my own company and space. I can get a little annoyed with my two boys here at the sanctuary, we do spend time together but they follow me around and I can become quite agitated because of this. So I would like to be the only pet in the home.

I would like to be able to go outside and explore in my new home, as this is what I have been used to. However, I will need to be kept entirely indoors whilst I get used to my new humans and new home.

Medical History…

I am a very healthy and happy girl, the only thing my carer asked me to let you know is that I have a couple of fatty lumps on my stomach near my groin. My carer noticed them when I first came to the sanctuary, but they have been checked over by the vets who assured us they are nothing to worry about and most likely just extra fatty tissue left over from when I was pregnant and had kittens when I was younger. My carer said we should make any potential adopters aware of this so they don’t worry about them.
