Re: foster parents needed
I am so sorry to hear about your brother - I hope he does make a speedy recovery.
As for the cats - have you contacted any of the local rescues to see if they know of someone that may help. Also, you'll need to be able to advise how much you can offer to the person fostering in the way of support re food, vet bills, money if needed etc....
Best of luck, I do hope you find a suitable solution very soon

another thing to consider - and it's a really tough call and I hope you don't mind my saying this - is how certain it is that your brother will recover enough to be able to move back home and take care of himself and the cats. And what potential time frame are you looking at.
Many foster arrangements potentially would be having cats in pens which isn't an ideal solution if it is long term and in which case it may be fairer on the cats to sign them over to a local rescue for permanent rehoming. On the other hand, having the cats to come home to may be what your brother needs to get better quick - I know I'd do all I could so I could come home to my animals asap and pets are amazing therapy so rehoming definitely would be the last option
Have a look at this link (hope I got the right county) http://www.catchat.org/adoption/lancs.html" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false; - that will give a list of shelters within your county. But please do make sure you contact a proper rescue and do not ask on FB etc about possible foster homes; too many horrid people out there that will gladly say yes and then use the cats for dog fighting
At a minimum, ask the rescue to help with a thorough home check

Re: foster parents needed
gosh i never thought about that thank- you again its a horrid thought what some people would do i have tried a few animal charities the cinnamon trust were very helpful but have only got 2 foster carers in the area and both full , we dont know how long petes going to take to get better ( and if he makes a full recovery) but i do want to keep his cats he lives alone and they are his best freinds, there are nursing homes that allow people to keep their pets . i will keep looking i am sure i will sort them out eventually angewine x
