Cats in Need

Based in Biggar, covering South Lanarkshire, Dumfries and Scottish Borders. Rescuing, and providing tender loving care to stray and abandoned cats and kittens. All cats will be neutered, vaccinated, microchipped and will have any recommended vet treatment prior to re-homing.

Covering from Moffat to Longtown, and from Hawick to the outskirts of Dumfries. Eskdale & District CP care for between 40 and 80 cats at any one time, and helping around 1,000 cats in total each year!  If you can re-home one of their cats, please give them a call, or visit their website for more details.

Covering DG8 and DG9. This is a small, self funded branch run by a handful of dedicated volunteers. The branch helps to rehome cats, offers assisted neutering, provides an advice service on kittens and cats and assists with lost and found cats.

Neutering Assistance: Neutering available at £5 per cat for students, pensioners, those on income support or welfare benefits who are within the coverage area.
Neuter & Microchip Offer: For a limited time, the branch can offer combined neutering & micro-chipping for £10 per cat for students, pensioners, those on income support or welfare benefits who are within the coverage area.

Cinnamon Trust - Homes Needed UK Wide
Cat Fosterers and permanent homes always needed. The Cinnamon Trust (the National Charity for the elderly, the terminally ill and their pets, Reg. charity. 293399) are looking for more volunteer homes throughout the UK. Pet free homes are needed for short-term fostering of cats whose owners are in hospital or respite care. Permanent homes needed for cats whose owners have died or who are no longer able to care for them. The Cinnamon Trust is not a rescue shelter and cannot take unwanted cats in.
