Rescue Cats Dolly and Elsa from Burton Joyce Cat Rescue, NottinghamHello! My name's Dolly. I'm here with my friend Elsa. We're both around 5/6 years old and lived the first years of our lives outside, firstly feral, then housed in a kennel and fed outside. For the last couple of years we have lived in a quiet room with easy access to the garden and the countryside beyond. I'm a beautiful long haired tabby who looks for affection and attention. I love to be stroked and brushed. Elsa is a short haired white and tabby girl whose tail had to be removed. She looks for me and prefers it when I am around. She often goes out at night and then sleeps most of the day, preferably on a chair tucked under a table. She's much more nervous than me and will run if approached. Occasionally she will approach for a stroke herself, having seen me enjoy it so much. We wouldn't mind living with neutered cats but not dogs. We can use a weak cat flap and always drink water and go to the toilet outside. Neither of us like being picked up and it is unlikely this will change. We are both lovely girls, and both neutered, but but because of our early years we're easily startled by noise and too much activity and people. We like to supplement our cat food with a little rodent control. We are looking for a special person to offer us a permanent home - someone who leads a quiet life and has a home with a garden in or on the edge of the countryside. Someone who will accept us as we are, offer us a safe, calm environment and continue to win our trust but without too much expectation that we will be like cats who have been handled from birth.

Rescue cats Lottie and Poppy from Woodland Nook Cat Rescue, Alfreton, Derbyshire, Nottinghamshire, need a homeHi, my name is Lottie and I have an all black coat and this is my bestie Poppy. we are around a year old now and are hoping to find a home together. We are a little shy, so are looking for a quieter home, with older children only. We are not sure about sharing our new home with other pets, but you can talk to the rescue more about that if you think we might fit into your heart and home. We are both neutered and ready to find our home; we have our paws crossed that we won't have to wait too much longer... Maybe you could be the one to love us enough to give us a home?
