Animal Concern Cumbria is a small local charity, rescuing and rehoming neglected or unwanted cats, dogs and other small animals (and occasionally farm animals). They have a firm policy not to destroy an animal, except on the advice of a veterinary surgeon. All their cats are fostered in private homes or boarding catteries. Please telephone to arrange an interview and homecheck appointment. A home visit is carried out prior to adoption, and a donation is required to help towards their continuing work.

The aim of this volunteer branch is to help with neutering, rehoming and trap, neuter and return for ferals in the community. They always find the right home for cats in their care. Eden Animal Rescue

Cinnamon Trust - Homes Needed UK Wide
Cat Fosterers and permanent homes always needed. The Cinnamon Trust (the National Charity for the elderly, the terminally ill and their pets, Reg. charity. 293399) are looking for more volunteer homes throughout the UK. Pet free homes are needed for short-term fostering of cats whose owners are in hospital or respite care. Permanent homes needed for cats whose owners have died or who are no longer able to care for them. The Cinnamon Trust is not a rescue shelter and cannot take unwanted cats in.
