Covering County Antrim. The Trust is a non-profit registered charity, set up in March 2003 by a group of animal lovers united by their common love and dedication to animals. Northern Ireland has the highest rate of stray, abused and abandoned animals in the whole of the UK, with many more animals destroyed for want of a new home than in any other area. 7th Heaven does not have a central sanctuary, instead animals are cared for in volunteers own homes, allowing the animals much more personal care and attention. 7th Heaven operates a no kill policy.

Based in Craigavon, Co.Armagh, Animal Connexions specialise in the hand rearing of orphan puppies & kittens.. They also operate a trap-neuter-release programme for feral cats. An independent animal rescue charity based 1.5 miles out of Ballinamallard on the Kilskeery Road, County Fermanagh. Priority is given to mistreated animals and those whose owners have died or are ill. All adult animals are spayed or neutered and vaccinated before re-homing. Animals stay at the sanctuary until adopted into caring, responsible homes. No healthy animal is ever destroyed. The sanctuary also operates a Trap-Neuter-Return (TNR) policy in relation to controlling the feral cat population.

The Rainbow Rehoming Centre is located in Co.Derry, Northern Ireland, only 7 miles from the city, but their rescue and rehoming covers the whole North West region of Ireland. They are a shelter for dogs and cats, kittens and pups that have been abandoned or are stray. The centre rehomes over 400 dogs and cats every year, and has a non-destruction policy, meaning that they will never put a healthy dog or cat to sleep.
