Rescue Cat Millie from Feline Friends London, Hackney, needs a homeHello there, I’m Millie. I’m an eight month old female with a beautiful black coat. I appeared one day, a tiny, nervous cat in the garden and befriended the kind humans who let me into their porch. Over the next few weeks I came and went, sleeping under a bush and eating the odd meal. One night I didn’t want to leave the porch and when the humans came back in to see me in the morning I’d had three kittens! I have been a loving and attentive mum to my kittens and now I’m on the lookout for my forever home. I’m growing in confidence everyday and although I’m still unsure of being picked up, I love to sit on a lap and be stroked. Through the magic of Dreamies, I’ve been quick to learn. I’m looking for a home with access to outdoors, I’d possibly be happy to live with another cat but I’m not sure about dogs or children. I will be neutered before I go to my new home. If you think you can offer me a home then please get in touch.

Rescue Cat Mimi from Feline Friends London, Hackney, needs a homeHello, my name's Mimi. I was a stray who was rescued whilst heavily pregnant with 4 kittens. I gave birth to them in my current foster home. I'm a pretty white and black girl, about 18 months old. I'm gentle but very timid. Whilst in my foster home, I spent the first few weeks hidden away behind the bed and only came out when no one was around. With time I have become much more confident. I like to sit in the living room at a safe distance, dozing, watching my unruly kittens at play or waiting for my next meal. I get excited around meal times and I'll run eagerly to my food bowl. I'm still not fully comfortable with being touched - I'll try to dodge the hand - but I've never shown any signs of aggression and I've never scratched or bitten my current carers. I would like a quiet home where I'll be the only pet, with owners who have some experience of looking after cats and who are willing to progress the relationship slowly and on my own terms. It might take time to gain my trust and my new owners will need to show a lot of patience and understanding as I'm not your average lap cat. I do not like loud noises or unexpected movements and I get easily frightened. I would eventually like access to the garden, but only once I'm fully established in my new home. By the time I'm to be rehomed I'll be neutered, microchipped and vaccinated.

Rescue cat Charlie from Stokey Cats...& Dogs, Hackney, West London, East London, needs a homeHello everyone; my name is Charlie and I am looking for a home where I can be the only cat. I was taken in when my human died, but despite all attempts I haven't settled with the resident cats and there is too much fighting. I am a neutered, 7 year old lad, with a handsome white and black coat. I am diabetic, you can find out more information below, I am managed with an injection a day - please don't let it put you off, the rescue will be happy to talk it through with you. I have always been an indoor cat and haven't had any dealings with dogs or children; so I think just being your best feline friend and not sharing you would work best for me.

Rescue Cat Arnold, Stokey Cats... and dogs, Hackney needs a homeHello, hello it’s me…Arnold, the handsome black and white chap you see in the pic! I’m looking for a new home, think you could help me with that? I’m a friendly, loving chap and I’m 10 years old. I’m looking for an indoor home please and I’ve been neutered. I’ve tested positive for FIV but am healthy and should still have plenty of years left in me. I’m rather vocal so I was hoping my new people would be the sort who liked having a good old chat about things! I’m not sure about living with children and I know I definitely don’t want to live with dogs but I could live with another cat. If you fancy a handsome, chatty chap sharing your home, then I’m your guy - get in touch soon! Ebony, Havering & ThurrockHello, I am Ebony. In spite of my loveliness (note how my bright eyes are accentuated by my silky soft black fur!), I was a stray in Thurrock before being rescued. To begin with, I was skittish and didn't really bond with my fosterer. But a few months later when I realised that some people are good and want to help, I felt compelled to purr and kneed with my paws when I looked at her. I'm not really interested in other cats, and would prefer a home with no young children. The reason for this is that I love to eat, and will snatch and treats from your hand. I don't mean to be rude or ungrateful, it's just that after surviving on the streets, you can get very enthusiastic about the hand that feeds you! I have been neutered. Please come and meet me... there is a lot to love x

Rescue cats Snowy and Lottie from Celia Hammond Animal Trust - Canning Town, needs homeHi, there, we are Snowy and Lottie and we are a pair of young ladies looking for a home. We are semi-feral, which means we don't mind being around people once we are used to them, but don't currently like direct contact. We would like a warm barn or shed space to live and regular meals but we are happy mostly outside. We may even catch a few mice for you when we are settled in. We are quite nervous, so to help us settle in the rescue people would lend a relocation pen for the first few weeks til it feels like home. We are neutered and don't mind other cats and would probably be ok with a gentle farm dog that left us alone. So if you are looking for low maintenance young kitties who will be part of your outdoor lives, please have a think about us. We just want to be safe and warm and fed.

Rescue Cats Walter & Truffle, Celia Hammond Animal Trust - Canning Town, Canning Town needs a homeHi there, we’re a pair of friends who are hoping to find a special home where we can be loved forever. I’m Walter and I’m 9 months and a handsome tabby boy. My friend is Truffle and she’s also 9 months and is a pretty black and white girl. I’m the more confident of the two of us and will enjoy a gentle stroke. Truffle is a bit more shy and seeks comfort from being with me and so we’d love a home together please. We’re a lovely pair and even though we’re a little shy still, we’re interested in people and playing. We’re looking for an experienced adult home, we’re not sure about living with children. We’re happy to live with another cat but are not sure about dogs. We’ve been neutered and would love a safe garden to play and have mini adventures in. If you think you’ve got room in your heart for both of us, please get in touch?

Rescue cats Pod, Dilly, Brownie and Angus from Celia Hammond Animal Trust - Canning Town, East London, West Kent, Essex, need a homeHi there, my name is Pod and these are my kittens. I am 4 years old and my little ones are 10 months old; we are all neutered and are looking for our forever home. We are after a rodent control position, so if you have stables, smallholding or garden that could offer us a warm and dry place to sleep and regular dinner times we could come and look after you. We will be in a relocation pen until we are settled and the rescue provide back up and support. I can be stroked but the kittens are not interested in people and prefer to be left to do their own thing. If you think we could be just the feline crew for you then please let us know.

Rescue cat Tolstoy from Catcuddles Sanctuary, Greenwich, needs homeHi there mateys! I'm Tolstoy and I'm a 5-month-old lively, sweet boy. The rescue people think I am pretty cute and charming which I am of course! I'm a super-special boy though, who has been through such a lot in my short life. I was rescued from the garden I was born in. Just a tiny little kitten, but not growing or playing as I hurted so much. The vet check found I was born with a deformed lower digestive system and was dangerously blocked up. I wouldn't have survived long without intervention. I needed major surgery. The vets and rescue people had a social media campaign (whatever that is!) and raised money for me to have a big operation rebuilding my lower digestive system and rectum. Seeing me behave like a kitten when I was feeling better, was really rewarding for the kind rescue people. I'm so much better now but I'm on special food and have still needed the odd treatment from the vet - I may need to remain under the regular care of a vet for some time to come. So I need a special human to understand this and be able to support this without getting fed up. But also to love me keep me safe and let me be the kitten I am and have fun. I'm fine with other cats but greedy, so would need to be supervised around their food! The rescue people think I will make an amazing little companion for a special human/humans who can take care of me and look after my needs. If you can even think about it, I would be grateful, but why don't you just give the rescue people a little call to find out more.
TOLSTOY is at Catcuddles Sanctuary, Greenwich. Rehoming in West Kent, East London and West London.
